THE MOUNTS

Mounts are flabby and sensitive pads which consist of a network of nerves and rise up high on the palm. The centre of these nerves is called the apex of the mount. There are nine mounts on the hand and the mount of Mars has two places on the hand and is divided into two. This illustration will make their position clear. These mounts show certain physical and mental peculiarities and individual is governed by the qualities of the mount or mounts most developed on this hand.

The Mount of Jupiter

It indicates pride, honour, prestige, dignity, religion, boasting, tyranny and egoism.

The Mount of Saturn

It shows suspicion, conservatism, prudence and caution. It also shows morbidity, melancholia, pessimism and stringy nature.

The Mount of Sun or Apollo

It shows enthusiasm, eloquence, oratory and a life full of energy. It also shows vanity, ostentation and a passion for wealth.

The Mount of Mercury

This mount reflects intelligence, occult aptitude, diplomatic shrewdness, legal profession, oratory, talents, dexterity, love for travel and experiments, eloquence and intuitive faculties.

The Mount of Mars

The Upper Mars (under the mount of Mercury) It shows courage of a soldier, a martyr or a patriot. It also shows resistance to opposition and surrender to fate. It also called the mount of negative Mars. The Lower Mars (above the mount of Venus and inside the line of Life) It indicates courage, dash, enthusiasm, activity, fearlessness of a warrior. It is also called the mount of positive Mars.

The Mount of Moon or Luna

It signifies high imagination, love for travel, moodiness, uneasiness, mental disorders, hysteria and insanity.

The Mount of Venus

It shows honesty in love, aptitude for art, attraction for the beautiful, grace, style, wealth, popularity, love for jewellery, perfumes and rich clothes.

The Mount of Uranus

It shows revolution and unexpected happenings in life. It also shows activity and intelligence engaged in the reconstruction or the betterment of human life. It constantly aims at changes in life and society and is after the liberation of mind from the bondage of environment and society.

The Mount of Neptune

This mount lies between the mount of Venus and the mount of Moon and above the rascette. It governs the mind. It shows changes in life, love for travel, restlessness and whimsicality.
